
India has launched a major military operation, codenamed Operation Sindoor, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and in a direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 people dead, including 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen.The strikes come amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam massacre, where most of the victims were reportedly tourists. The ministry of defence has stated that a detailed briefing on Operation Sindoor will be held later today to provide further clarity on the objectives, outcomes, and intelligence behind the mission.A total of nine (9) sites have been precisely targeted. Our operations have been deliberate, restrained, and non-escalatory. No Pakistani military installations were struck. India has exercised significant restraint in both the choice of targets and the manner of execution. These actions follow the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national.
